I SHOULD create because if I make something and put a copyright on it, then I can prove I was the first and nobody else can have done this first.  I would hate to be a copy cat, or someone who merely copies.

Here's another one of those interesting assumptions. Doing something first, or putting a copyright on it, is the goal of creativity. If I copy anything, become a copycat, I deserve any putdowns or name-calling that comes my way. And worse yet, if I copy from others, I might learn something. Oh, the horror.
